Série Graet e Breizh, le nouveau logo !
The "Graet e Breizh" range is my most innovative range : with Michel Gravouille, my ébéniste (cabinetmaker) and also accordion player we share ideas and desires, still keeping in mind light weight, compactness, energy, and also the beauty of the chosen woods. We just issued a new model, a chromatic accordion.

Michel Gravouille and I are both from the south of Brittany near Lorient, and our accordions naturally take the name :  "Graet e Breizh", meaning "Made In Bretagne" in Breton (the Breton dialect from the Vannes area).
These small diatonic accordions are light and compact, between 3,5 and 3,8 Kgs, 28x16x31cm, selected woods from Brittany or Burgundy : cherry, pear or service-tree wood for the box ebenistry, resonance spruce and cedar for the music blocks, the luthier's wood comes from my friend Pascal Cranga. Clik to see the workshop

The "Graet e Breizh"range has, like all my 2 ½ and 3 rows, my ingenious bass mechanics system (to cancel mechanical noises), melody side aluminium mechanics, light and fast, all this for maximum maniability and Fast Playing Pleasure...

The "Graet e Breizh" comes with velvet padded straps and a convenient "Gama Cases" hardcase or softcase that perfectly fits its size (the left-hand strap is adjustable in length), bellows with external folds covered in fabric, quiet "mushroom shape" keyboard buttons (except for the Irish model : flat keyboard).
If you play with a thumb strap, it is difficult to add one on these models, and it can only be done if it's clearly stated on the order form (the bottom of the keyboard must be specially modified for this).

Here's the "Petit", my first "Student range" model. It's a powerful diatonic accordion, with a sharp acute sound, the keyboards action is fast and supple, the weight is 3,150 kgs.
It is equipped with Antonelli's Dural quality Italian reeds... In short, it has all the qualities of my accordions, but it's the simplest.
2 rows 2 reeds per button (2 chords) on the melody side, 8 basses 3 reeds per button (3 chords) on the bass side, a stop mutes the thirds of the chords on the bass side. It's THE beginner's accordion.
Wood : cherry (clear) or walnut (dark). Note : walnut models have non-circled black buttons.

All my instruments, including the "Touptit 2004", have velvet padded straps (the left-hand strap is adjustable in length), bellows with external folds covered in fabric, quiet "mushroom shape" keyboard buttons and a lot of details that a musician-maker wants for the pleasure of the player...
If you play with a thumb strap, I can add one on demand.

Here's the "3 voix", my "Student range" 2 rows 3 voices (reeds per button) model. Looking similar to the "Petit", it shares its qualities, but is more powerful : a low reed can be added to the melody side by using a register button, also called switch or stop. Another stop mutes the thirds of the chords on the bass side.
Wood : cherry (clear), maple (very clear) or walnut (dark). Note : maple and walnut models have non-circled black buttons.
The keyboards action is fast and supple, the weight is 3,900. It is also equipped with Antonelli's Dural quality Italian reeds... 2 rows 3 reeds per button (3 voices or chords) on the melody side, 8 basses 3 reeds per button (3 chords) on the bass side.

The "Student range Touptit" : 2 Kgs, 21,5x14x25,5 cm --- Price, info ? --- Keyboard layout G/C (Sol-Do) --- FAQ --- Comparative table --- Listen to my instruments...

The smallest diato of my Student range ( now stopped ), here is the "Touptit 2004". Its name means "Very small" in French. It is a cute small diatonic accordion (21,5x14x25,5 cm), powerful in spite of the fact that it has only one reed per button on the melody side. It hardly weighs 2 kilos, and its small size naturally intends it for the training of small children. Like my other 2 rows, it is equipped with Antonelli's Dural quality Italians reeds, 2 rows (21 keys) 1 reed per button on the melody side, 8 basses on the bass side (2 reeds per button, chords without thirds). Very light, it is the beginner's accordion for children, or a light accordion for an adult travelling everywhere... and its price is light too !
Wood : cherry (clear), maple (very clear) or walnut (dark). Note : maple and walnut models have non-circled black buttons.

All my instruments, including this "Touptit 2004", have velvet padded straps (the left-hand strap is adjustable in length), bellows with external folds covered in fabric, quiet "mushroom shape" keyboard buttons and a lot of details that a musician-maker wants for the pleasure of the player... It comes in a convenient "Gama Cases" dark blue softcase that perfectly fits its size !
If you play with a thumb strap, I can add one on demand.

This is my "Pro range 2 rows ½" model : 27 buttons on 3 rows, 12 basses & chords, 5 different sonorities (3 stops or registers) on the right-hand keyboard with 3 reeds per button (3 chords)... 3 reeds per button on the bass side too, and 2 stops, one for the thirds, the other for the low bass reed. It's made of maple wood, or walnut.
I've put inside the best handmade "typo a mano Dural" reeds made in Italy by Antonelli Voci Armoniche, because they have a round, warm, precise sound that I like. I've used the best mechanics (and my new bass mechanics system)... and it sounds great !

You can choose the key and I'll tune your future diatonic button accordion with the vibrato you want.
You can choose which accidentals you want on the 3rd row. For that I propose my standard keyboard diagram (layout) that works very well.

30 buttons on 3 rows, 12 or 18 basses, 3 voices (reeds per button), 2 double action selectors (giving four reed sets combinations) at the back of the melody keyboard. For the 12 basses, 3 voices with a third stop (selector) on the bass side.
For the 18 basses, 2 options : 2 voices without thirds nor third stop on the bass side, or 3 voices with low bass reed and thirds stops (2 selectors) on the bass side.
The "3 Rows" model is my latest Pro range accordion. As on the "2 rows ½", you can choose walnut (dark) or maple (clear) wood. You can also choose 12 or 18 basses, the brass melody side grille nickel-plated or matt black finish.
You can choose the accidentals and their position on the 3rd row. I propose my standard layout that works wery well : each accidental was chosen for and by musicians : see my standard 12 basses or 18 basses keyboard layout .
Faithful to Antonelli Voci Armoniche, my reed maker, I use the best handmade "typo a mano Diatonico" reeds, the best mechanics (and my new bass mechanics system)... It sounds rich, precise and sharp, and more incisive (thanks to the metal grille...) than the "2 rows ½". I hope it'll seduce you... Why not come and try it ? (my address)
You can choose the key and I'll tune your future diatonic button accordion with the vibrato you want.

The 3 rows has a completely different structure from the "Pro" 2 rows ½ with a finer sound. The metal grille on the right hand, the distribution of the reeds on the reed blocks and the position of the blocks on the melody table all participate in making this finer sound. The 3 rows has a little more aggressive, clearer and finer sound, more energetic attacks, in short more energy than the 2 rows ½. The basses of the 3 rows are clearer, they rumble less (the sound does not linger), are more neutral and less "typical" than the 2 rows ½. In fact, I wanted a new sound balance - more "soloist", on purpose, and more precise - more high harmonics for a finer sound.
